God plays a major role in my life.  I am a Christian and have the following beliefs:

- "for all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God". Romans 3:23  No one is perfect! All of us have made mistakes in our lives. So what does this mean....?

- "For the wages of Sin is death,  but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23   The penalty for any sin is death.  This is not an immediate physical death but a spiritual death of being apart from God.  This means that when we die physically on this earth without the salvation from our sins we would end up in hell.   How do we bridge this chasm between God and ourselves caused by sin?

- "That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9   Fortunately, God sent his Son, Jesus Christ to come to this earth, be crucified, and descend into hell for three days to suffer the spiritual punishment of this sins that those who believe in him have committed.   Notice that this verse says confess with your mouth and also believe in your heart.  I think the second part is a critical aspect here that is often overlooked.

Below is information on some of the groups and that I am currently part of or have been part of in the past.  Also here is a running list of some of my favorite Bible verses.

Three Rivers Grace Community Church - Our church home here in Pittsburgh.  A great church that teaches the Word and full of wonderful friendly people.

CrossSeekers -  This is a great group at Carnegie Mellon.  I got involved in it when I arrived during the Spring Semester of 2000.   Now I am helping lead and plan some of the activities.   Check out my pictures page for some images.

First Baptist Church New Orleans -  While I was at Tulane I attended here.  An excellent church.  I really got to grow so much at this church and meet so many wonderful people. They had a college group called LifeShine that had a bunch of wonderful teachers and directors (Mrs. Wagner, Henleys, Larsons, Watsons).

Tulane/Loyola Baptist Student Union - A good place right by campus.   Had weekly dinners, bible studies, annual crawfish boil, annual beach retreat, and much more.  Once again lots of good friends and great people.  (Unfortunately, the website is woefully out of date)
